17 Jun Carla Swanson
Carla has been a creative individual her entire life, specifically focusing on painting for the last 20 years. Her art is often compared to the works of Georgia O’Keeffe’s a painter known for her large-scale flower paintings. After a visit to Hawaii, Carla was fascinated by the Pumeria flower and since painted it many times, even attempting to grow some of her own.
Carla is very vulnerable with her art. Often using a very colorful palette, she expresses many feelings within her painting, love, sadness, happiness, and the feeling of being broken are all commonly used themes with a passion to expand her talents.
Before finding her home in Conway about five years ago, she lived in Russellville, where she was a member of the Lemley House Art Guild. While focusing on her art for the past two decades, she studied under Darlene McNeely, Bill Garrison and Sarah Keathley.
